Just a little blog where I take videos, photos, and news/info for all bands and artists in rock, alt rock, metal, alt metal, heavy metal, screamo/emo rock and metal, punk rock, and some in between genres and I bring them all together in a giant electrical mash up I call the Live Wire.

Blink fast!
Finally started listening to the Blink-182 album Neighborhoods and I love it. Blink kind of fell off my radar other than picking out a few oldies here and there. But my "brother" (long story) bought the new album a couple weeks back and I'm finally going through it. So far my favorite song is After Midnight. I think I love it so much because it is definitely "new" Blink but you can really hear the elements they took from previous songs and albums giving you a little Blink flashback. Even now as they've gotten older the band creates a world in which we are still rebellious adolescents who want to stay out late and ignore our parents. Reminds me of being in junior high listening to Feeling This and Stockholm Syndrome and feeling like I could rule the world as the coolest badass ever. Little did I know I was not really a badass but Blink 182 gave me the feeling at least. The band has matured dramatically and you can hear it in every song. Their tone has changed for much of the album but for the better. I have no complaints about this album and I recommend it to everyone who like punk/rock/alt rock.
My favorites so far:
After Midnight
Up All Night
Snake Charmer
Kaleidoscopic
Fighting the Gravity
More to come :)
-AVA: Pt 1 and Pt 2
-Avenged Sevenfold: Nightmare
-New Chevelle!
